River Rescue Trash Clean-Up – Saturday, 3/1/25

Looking for a volunteer opportunity that allows you to support a healthy river in a hands-on way while interacting with a group of like-minded people? Our River Rescue team works diligently to remove an average of 2,000 pounds out of the riverbed at every clean-up, and over 200,000 pounds removed last year!

Every Wednesday and Saturday our River Rescue team does just that!  This Saturday, we are looking for additional support for our River Rescue team to clean Forester Creek after the recent rains. This particular section of Forester Creek is often one of the most polluted sections of the river due to the concrete channel section of the river meeting the natural riverbed, leading to an accumulation of stormwater debris. We have an urgent need to clean up this pollution and could use your help! At these events volunteers should expect to get dirty, physically exert themselves, occasionally trek through terrain, and work with an amazing group of people!

Location: Forester Creek: Forester Creek is an 11-mile-long tributary of the San Diego River. This creek and its three tributaries flow through the cities of El Cajon and Santee.

8665 Argent Street, Santee CA 92071. Please park anywhere on Argent St or Prospect Ave. Please do not park in the brewery parking lot.
